Belleview Park is an amazing park, sprawled out over several acres, it is a perfect family park. There are hills and grassy fields, a river, a bridge, 2 playgrounds, tennis courts, basketball, covered picnic tables. PLUS there is a kiddie train, a petting zoo and beautiful gardens.

Every 4th of July this park holds one of the biggest fireworks displays in the Denver area. Also located in walking distance are Pirates Cove, Colorado Journey Mini-Golf, and Cornerstone Park. It is a recreational mecca.

A classic, old school park. This park is so nice because it is surrounded by huge shade trees, it is so nice and relaxing. There is a huge open grass area in addition to a play area. The playground consists of baby swings, swings, play structure (not that big) with 2 slides, a merry-go-round, a sand digger and other fun stuff.

Lots of picnic tables scattered throughout this park. There is also a really neat, rustic library right next to the park. If you have time, head on in, find a cozy spot and read a book to the little ones, I have fantasies of living in this library. Go see it and you will know what I mean. All in all, it’s a great, little park. Two hours is probably ample time to enjoy, definitely not an all day park.

The trees provide shade for those hot summer days.

Bear Creek Playground

This is a huge family favorite – so much space, so many different areas.  The new playground is so big, sprawled out, fun!  Of course, this big attraction is the big sombrero slide – I even loved it as a kid.  There are bridges, walkways, interactive areas.  Also, tire swings, baby swings and regular swings.

Beside the playground there is a “sprayground”, tons of open grassy spaces and of course, Bear Creek runs right thru it.  It is also along the bike path, take a walk, cross a bridge or play in the creek.  You could literally spend hours here, bring water and food.
