This is not a conventional park with a playground but it sure is fun and has plenty of eye-candy. Sculptures and whimsical art work are scattered throughout. Located at the old Cinderella City, the mall is a distant memory. Laid out over several acres complete with restaurants, a pub, coffee shop, quaint shops, a library, the light rail and loft style apartments, this is a cool little neighborhood. For the kids there is a super-fun water feature located around the crown jewel a 40 foot fountain.

It would be fun to start here, hit the light rail either direction and have a fun journey for the family.

Belleview Park is an amazing park, sprawled out over several acres, it is a perfect family park. There are hills and grassy fields, a river, a bridge, 2 playgrounds, tennis courts, basketball, covered picnic tables. PLUS there is a kiddie train, a petting zoo and beautiful gardens.

Every 4th of July this park holds one of the biggest fireworks displays in the Denver area. Also located in walking distance are Pirates Cove, Colorado Journey Mini-Golf, and Cornerstone Park. It is a recreational mecca.

Paramount Park is a smaller but convenient, quiet park located between 27th and 29th off of Kipling. A playground is surrounded by grass fields. A lot of big trees provide abundant shade. There is a nice basketball court area, baseball field, horseshoes and covered picnic tables.

There are tons of sidewalks for the kids to ride around.

This is a park on a hill just outside the downtown area, it is located just west of Federal and just south of 6th Ave. It offers a fantastic view of downtown Denver. There is a play structure but it is pretty old and run down there is plenty of grass to have a nice picnic. Located right next to the park is a fantastic recreation center swimming pool complete with new styled water features. Did you know Denver residents under 18 get to swim free at Denver pools this Summer? Hurry, the outdoor pools close soon.

This park is so centrally located that if you decide to go there is plenty food, shopping and other recreation located in the area. Super close to Mile High Stadium.

Another family favorite, this park has something for EVERYONE. Sprawled out over several acres and includes a lake, 3 playgrounds, a plethora of covered picnic tables, skate park, water feature, basketball, tennis, softball, baseball, batting cages, sand volleyball, grassy fields everywhere. This park is located near Southwest Plaza and there are plenty of restaurants, shops and other places to visit while you are in the area. This park hosts festivals, outdoor concerts, and more.   The Columbine Memorial is located here too.  You can also catch some really cool kite flyers and riders. There are plenty of paths throughout the park to get you where you want to go.   A library is located near the main entrance , be sure to check out their children’s section, it has gorgeous artwork covering the walls.

Most areas of the park have water fountains and flush toilets.
