Awesome! My first thought was “it’s about time!”. We are very excited about the new play place, since winter is coming now we will have a close indoor play place.

The new play area opens this Saturday, September 25th. Be sure to get there early, the play area opens at 10AM. The grand opening will feature fun for the entire family. Head to the lower by Sears, fun awaits!

Wow! Want to engage your children in a fun, interactive learning environment? Take them to the Mordecai Children’s Garden at the Denver Botanic Gardens. You could easily spend 2-3 hours there, it is so much fun. We highly recommend it!

Some features of the Mordecai Children’s Garden:
-Scavenger Hunt Cards
-Binocular Station with a lookout over the Gardens and the city.
-A bear cave
-A Mountain complete with bring and more binoculars
-A garden to dig and play in
-A stream that you can build a dam in

Did  you know Cherry Creek Mall partnered with HealthONE Rocky Mountain Children’s Hospital to create a brand new children’s play area?  It is really fun, to say the least.  It is based on the popular Looney Toons series, children can “hang out” with Tweety, Bugs Bunny, Sylvester, Porky, and more.  It is bright, colorful, features 2 slides, so much fun for both big and little kids.

Covered Picnic Area next to main playground

Belleview Park is an amazing park, sprawled out over several acres, it is a perfect family park. There are hills and grassy fields, a river, a bridge, 2 playgrounds, tennis courts, basketball, covered picnic tables. PLUS there is a kiddie train, a petting zoo and beautiful gardens.

Every 4th of July this park holds one of the biggest fireworks displays in the Denver area. Also located in walking distance are Pirates Cove, Colorado Journey Mini-Golf, and Cornerstone Park. It is a recreational mecca.

Paramount Park is a smaller but convenient, quiet park located between 27th and 29th off of Kipling. A playground is surrounded by grass fields. A lot of big trees provide abundant shade. There is a nice basketball court area, baseball field, horseshoes and covered picnic tables.

There are tons of sidewalks for the kids to ride around.
