Miner’s is a family favorite of ours!  It will be moving next year, somewhere in the Golden area, since Heritage is closing.  We purchased a Groupon and off we went.  We always have fun up there, I used to come up here with my family when I was little too.  There is a lot to do up there. It is split up into different Amusement Parks, so keep that in mind, if you head up.  Today we went Miner’s Adventureland.

The kids started out on the Rocky Mountain Ropes, elevation course, they were challenged and liked it a lot.

My littlest loved the Water Walkers:

My middle loved the trampolines:

My oldest loved the ropes and the rock climbing wall:

This was only 1 section of Heritage Square.  Another part is the Amusement Park. They have all the typical rides, plus go-carts, paddle boats and more!  Plus the Alpine slide is historic and FUN!

Head up before they close! There are a few eateries, an ice cream, and a gallery.  There used to be so much more, so sad it is in this condition. However, that is nostalgia for us older people. The kids know it for this, so they love it.  You know what I mean?  Kind of like Casa Bonita 🙂

Beautiful Dillon, Colorado, we love this town!

Dillon Colorado

By far one of the coolest playgrounds in Colorado.  The equipment is diverse and extensive, it is fantastic.

They have positioned the park and the picnic tables to take advantage of this amazing view.  LOVE IT!

We highly recommend Marina Park.  Pack a picnic and head west on I-70 just about an hour from Denver.  You can also rent boats at the marina, eat at some of the breweries and also go shopping at the outlets in Silverthorne.

Hiwan Homestead House Evergreen

Hiwan Homestead House Evergreen

Just 30 minutes west of Denver is beautiful Evergreen, Colorado. One family favorite is the Hiwan Homestead House. Step into the past as you wander through many buildings and tour the main house.  There are guided tours available at no charge.  There is a seperate playhouse that is a site to see, it is really fun!  Also, be sure to check out the blacksmith/print shop and the guest house.  Real fun place to visit, since it is in Evergreen, plan a day trip up.  You can see the lake, eat ice cream at Baskin Robbins on the river and enjoy the Hiwan.
